Summary
Vito Scaletta came to America as the child of Sicilian immigrants in the 1930s. Facing poverty and discrimination he and his best friend Joe turn to crime in the hopes of a better life. Very little goes according to plan.
A retelling of Vito’s story in Mafia 2, gradually abbreviating from canon to sort of fix the clusterf*** of an ending that broke my heart. As the game it gets pretty dark at times, though. So be warned, guys.

Arthur Morgan ain't got long to live. He just wants to feel alive. If that means drinking and fucking and brawling, so be it.

“Ain’t nothing like your heart pounding to remind you that it’s still in there, still beating.”
Charles tucks a stray strand of his hair behind his ear and sits forward, leaning in towards Arthur, so close, so fucking painfully close, that Arthur can smell the citrussy scent of his soap.
“Your heart is beating right now.”
Charles covers it with his hand, fingers fluttering on Arthur’s chest, warm on his skin. Tugging gently at invisible strings. He takes Arthur’s hand, places it inside his, rests them above Arthur’s idiot heart.
“It’s beating and you ain’t doing anything stupid.”
I’m thinking about kissing you, Arthur thinks. “Yeah. Guess,” he says instead.
Charles’ brow furrows, and Arthur tugs his hand loose, heart hammering.
“Why’s it beating so damn fast?”
“Charles,” Arthur breathes in apology, as understanding dawns on Charles’ face.::::::::::::::::::::

Summary
It was like a switch had been pulled, and there was an animal in front of Arthur instead of a man. The impact knocked him backward. And suddenly Mr. Downes was fighting him tooth and goddamn nail– and then, he opened his jaw and bit, right at the spot between Arthur’s neck and shoulder blade.
Or: After a visit to Downes Ranch, Arthur finds himself coming down with an unusual sickness.
