Summary
This is where I will post works where Thorin, Frerin & Dís were children when Smaug took Erebor, and where their father Thráin prevents the War of the Dwarves and Orcs that canonically followed in the aftermath of the exile from Erebor.
Thráin does his best to take care of his dwarflings in Ered Luin but by chance he happens upon an old smithy for rent in the village of the Shire called Hobbiton,
The Dwarf Prince decides to rent it and gathers his children for a new life in a region where no dwarf has set foot in living memory. What will it be like for the family to live among hobbits? And who is the landlord's son?

Summary
Steve doesn't realise he's touch-starved until he starts spending time around Eddie Munson. The other boy touches him all the time, leaving Steve craving that kind of constant affection. Only, when Steve decides to instigate his own touches back, things between them begin to shift in an unexpected direction, one that might make Steve realise some other things about himself.

His mind twists plot hooks and campaign NPCs around his head, determined to get ready for when his friends come around later that afternoon with the pack of freshmen, now sophomores, that they'd adopted. As he's thinking about a sect of female warriors -- a mix of barbarians and rangers, buff and leveled way above where the party will be -- he sees her. Notices her, more like; a nymph, a dryad, a goddess sprung fully formed from his imaginings.

Maybe it's weird, since Nancy is his ex and Jonathan's her new boyfriend, but Steve likes spending time with them.
So in early February, when Nancy and Jonathan offhandedly ask Steve if he wants to go to the movies with them that Friday, he says yes.
It isn’t until Steve gets home that night to add it to his calendar that he realizes Friday is Valentine’s Day.
