“Jun Wu, so glad you both could join us.” Hua Cheng’s tone was welcoming, betraying nothing of his inner turmoil, but he shook Jun Wu’s outstretched hand with a little more force than necessary. “I didn’t know you were married. I would have sent a gift.”
Jun Wu laughed and wrapped the hand that had just been in Hua Cheng’s around his husband. “Yes, it was a private affair. It all happened quite suddenly.”
“Congratulations,” Hua Cheng made himself say, then drained the rest of his drink in one go. “It’s a pleasure to meet you...”
Hua Cheng held out his hand expectantly for the man in white to take. But, instead, he looked to Jun Wu as if seeking permission, and that alone almost sent Hua Cheng into a blind rage. But he had a plan, and he needed to see this through.
“Xie Lian,” the man answered after he’d received his husband’s permission and shook Hua Cheng’s hand. Then, with practice ease, Hua Cheng slipped the note he’d been carrying all night just for this moment into Xie Lian’s palm.Series

Summary
It’s just a stomach bug he kept telling himself, but in the back of his mind, Xie Lian worried. The doctors warned him that bonding with his true mate might make birth control less effective. He hadn’t had a proper heat, which was the main reason why Xie Lian kept telling himself he was fine, but the more he looked up his symptoms online the more doubt he had. Fertility rates spiked shortly after boning and it was rare yet possible to get pregnant outside of a heat. Xie Lian knew this, the chances of it happening were so low. But everything about their relationship had been beyond what was fully understood. What if I’m the one percent? Xie Lian couldn’t help but wonder.
Or after a pregnancy scare Xie Lian and Hua Cheng try to get pregnant and it their journey to parenthood is not what they expected it to be.

“Wei Wuxian?” A soft, deep voice pulled Wei Wuxian out of his fantasy and he opened his eyes. Sure, he wasn’t on the beach, or drinking the Emperor’s Smile, but even in an unflattering white coat and scrubs the man that stood before him was, wow. Wei Wuxian had only a moment to enjoy the ridiculously handsome man in front of him until his jaw literally dropped reminding him of his horrible tooth pain.
“Ouch,” Wei Wuxian hissed, cupping his cheek on the side of his toothache. “You’re not Dr. Lan.”
“Uncle retired.” The man said, handing Wei Wuxian a pair of sunglasses, pushed back his chair, then put on a pair of gloves. “Open.”
