Tommyinnit walks into a room. It's the perfect recipe for trouble. His hair is too well done, and his style is not his. A bulky man in a suit ushers him to a table and chair in front of the flashing lights and cameras.
The only thing him about him, he thinks, is the scowl on his face.
"So you mean to say you just got really lucky, Tommyinnit from Pogtopia?" Charlie the Reporter says in his obnoxious reporter's tone and Tommy's face twists even further in contempt.
"That's not my fucking name," Tommy spits. He needs to be polite, but this particular journalist had a way of getting on your nerves. "And I haven't said anything,"
"I assumed. I mean, what even are the odds of four complete strangers stumbling across a human trafficking scheme, anyway?"

Summary
Lance stands in the middle of the ballroom, staring up at the skylight, at the stained glass arranged in a dizzyingly beautiful pattern. The walls are encrusted with gold and jewels and all sorts of gaudy decor, because Lance stands in the most expensive manor in the known universe, Veli Atarang.
"What are you doing?!" A voice yells, familiar, as the owner of said voice grabs his hand. He recognises it's Lotor, hands soft and brash. He absentmindedly wishes it was Keith. Regardless, he doesn't move an inch. Lance is enraptured. A moth to a flame.
Literally.
The ballroom is on fire.
OR
The new old Black Paladin has ulterior motives that no one else seems to see, the runaway Galran prince isn't as bad as he seems, and Keith is somewhere. Slowly, Lance begins to realise that maybe it was a good thing he made all those friends across the universe.

All is not right in the Voltron Coalition. Good thing Lance is here to do something about it.

This would normally be a great thing, except for the fact that his lie detecting abilities are characterized by a sharp pain in his stomach, which has festered in him a deep hatred for all humans everywhere. One day, he meets a boy who can only tell the truth.
I had a thought, dear (WIP): Thomas Soot grew up in the lap of luxury, silver spoon in his mouth before he knew what either of those things were. I promise you, if this were not a fanfic, it would be a classic. The story is actually amazing, well thought-out and actually mesmerising. I read this thing in one sitting, I kid you not, and fell absolutely in love with it. It's like a fairytale.

He's a paladin of Voltron. He's supposed to protect people! He doesn't care what happens to him - no one else gets hurt. Never again.
Fic based just after the end of season 5 in which Lance is forced to confront his mistakes and it leads him down a very dark path. Unwilling to accept how dangerous his actions are becoming, it's left up to his team-mates and a certain Blade of Marmora member to find the root of his problems and try to bring him back from the edge.We worked so hard on this. Lance gave up the chance to make a difference by giving up the Red Lion. He gave up his chance to be a hero. What he wants now is just to go home. He'll protect Earth and his family from the Galra as best he can when he gets there. That's his top priority now.
And sure, he stole the opportunity to make this decision from Keith, and maybe that's not fair.
But whatever. If Keith was going to make the wrong choice, Lance wasn't going to give him one.
