Summary
“Kaveh, Kaveh, Kaveh,” Alhaitham says, laughing, standing there with a manic smile and casual posture so odd, so unlike him. His voice is off too, tinged with some sort of edge that makes him sound… different. He twirls his sword loosely in one hand, shaking his head as the laugh turns downright maniacal, and Kaveh’s every instinct is ringing alarm bells, sending signals that something is dangerously, disastrously wrong. “Always asking stupid fucking questions.”
Then he charges, and it’s all Kaveh can do to draw his claymore and parry the blow aimed straight at his head.
