The wrong Jedi Master volunteers for the task force assigned to arrest the True Mandalorians on Galidraan, dramatically reshaping the future.
Six months into the Clone Wars, the 501st experiences total losses on Teth, save for one clone Captain, kidnapped by a Sith who really didn't think this through.
You're not supposed to sleep with the enemy, constantly, and in nearly every way possible. It's unprofessional and possibly treason, though this really wasn't covered in any part of Rex's training on Kamino. In his defense, he's under house arrest with an insatiable Sith Togruta who has decided that he is hers,
and he is increasingly on board with it.He's fairly certain you're not supposed to develop feelings for a Sith, let alone a Sith who is holding you captive and bringing you gifts...like a cat.
He's very certain that you aren't supposed to meet your girlfriend's Sith-Dad with your pants half off.
Cody is going to kill him if he ever sees him again. Will Rex even want to return to his brothers when Ahsoka lets him go?

Rex is pretty sure that Chewbacca had only said 'wear red,' but in Ahsoka's defense, it's been almost ten years since their late night exchange of cultures on the Trandoshan moon. Alright, maybe she went a little overboard with the hats.

Summary
One of the first things Anakin taught his new Padawan was to survive an attack from all sides by their own men.
He couldn't have known how essential that training would be.
Order 66 eliminated the Jedi, but Ahsoka could survive anything. This was the Padawan who had come back from death and snuck onto one of their most deadly missions only a week later. The only Padawan trained by Skywalker.
Anak- Vader lost everything. He can't have lost her too.
It had to be enough.
It wasn't.
