While Eddie lights the emergency candles lined up on the dresser he hears Buck settle himself on the bed as the dark room slowly becomes dimly lit with the pale yellow flickers of the flames.

    She almost stumbles over her own feet as Eddie suddenly stops dead in her tracks. “Technically not,” She captures Buck’s gaze and winks.

    Oh.

    Buck knows exactly what she means now. It’s been way too long since they’ve had more than an entire day to themselves with no expectations to be up early the day after. She pulls her keys out of her pocket and jingles them in front of Eddie’s face with a smile. “We better get home then.”
