Most likely the best-written piece of fanfiction I have ever come across; possibly the best long-running piece of literature I have read, bar none. A look into what the ATLA world would be like if it wasn't a children's show and study of the nature of war. One of the best looks into the characterization of the cast of the show, but most specifically Zuko. An incredible study of Sokka's place in a bender-ruled world, as well as a real insight into how a relationship would develop between him and Zuko.
/“Your blood is my blood,” Zuko said. “There is nothing I won’t do or give to protect her. My honour or my life.”
Sokka swallowed shakily, his hands coming up to cup Zuko’s cheeks. “Thank you. Thank you.”/

(I will eventually leave an actual review on this fic that isn't just the keyboard smashing I accidentally submitted I pinky promise.) This is one of those fics you go back to read over and over again, and each time it's just as delicious as the last. The back and forth between Spock and Jim is perfect, and the slight tension and build up between them is wonderful. The humor in this fic is top-tier and the plot is gripping despite the simplicity of the set up. Over all, one of the best Spirk fics I've ever read.
