Summary
When Connor first realizes he is experiencing panic attacks, the revelation is… troubling. Not least because he had yet to define that category of emotion in his code.
After a new case crosses his and Hank's desks concerning a serial torturer of androids, it becomes increasingly difficult to pretend his programming can handle being exposed to so much misery.

Summary
Written for this promt on the kinkmeme: "After Mary's death, John moves back into Baker Street, but is still upset at the loss of his wife and child. Eventually, he and Sherlock stumble into a sort of relationship, but it's more physical than anything and they don't talk about it.
They especially don't talk during sex.
If they are going to have sex, Sherlock notices the signs hours beforehand, and he prepares carefully. The lights are off, they're under the covers, he prepares himself using lots of lube so he can make it feel as much like a woman as he can, and he doesn't let himself make any noise so that, if John wishes, he can pretend that he's still with Mary."

Bookmarker's Notes
Beautifully written fix-it fic, one I'm sure to read again and again!
The tags had me worried about some things, but neither of the characters I expected to be offed ended up that way. I absolutely loved the exploration and slow-blooming realisation of John and Sherlock's feelings for each other, and I particularly enjoyed Mary's reaction to how things ended up. It's especially rare to find a story where Mary stays canon-compliant (S3; HLV never happens) in terms of friendliness with the boys, and is neither villified nor reduced to a tragic footnote. In fact, all of the characters felt refreshingly true to the show and did not fall into the common trap of sounding more like their typical 'fanfic' selves.
This is the sort of fic I'd whip out as an example of how their relationship in the show is already so intimate and loving; it does not require any alteration of their personalities to take that last step. It's all there-- except instead, it's all here. But if this is all I can have, then this is good enough. This is more than okay for me.

I'm not usually one for Victorian!Johnlock, but damn, this was a good read from start to finish. Wonderfully ornate writing style, and a beautifully intimate exploration of Holmes' and Watson's long-repressed feelings for each other. :)

Summary
“This was like nothing John had ever thought to associate with Sherlock: stubble, skin-tight jeans and three small silver rings gleaming at the crest of one ear. It was unbelievable, like stepping into an alternative universe, and John couldn't stop staring.”
When Sherlock infiltrates a club in order to track down a serial killer, his altered appearance is enough to make John question his assumption that Sherlock is beyond his reach. However, is he the only one who appreciates his flatmate's charms, or is Sherlock at risk of becoming the next victim? (Warning: reviews may contain fic spoilers)

A fic I ignored for such a long time due to its innocuous title, and boy am I regretting that now. This became an instant favourite, destined for many future re-readings!
