“Sorry,” Charlie tried to ignore the way Mark’s hazel eyes had gone big and dark, the way they did even when he managed to scrub any other hint of worry from the sharp-cut lines of his face. “What did you say?”
“Want a fag?” He asked, again. Charlie looked down to the box, offered out between them. He didn't particularly feel like smoking, but he did feel like giving his hands something to do besides clench into little fists inside his pockets.
That, and he could never say no to Mark when he looked like this, worried but trying not to be.
