The tree just completely eluded him. Even more baffling were the baubles and ribbons and lights, some strewn about the room, some already attached to the tree. He raised an eyebrow. “G'raha Tia?” he simply asked, gesturing at the room and the tree and everything else.
A detempered Elidibus is celebrating his first starlight with G'raha Tia and the Scions. After several moons of getting used to a new life and new traditions and rituals to follow, some of those around this particular celebration elude him completely.

Summary
“I believe last time I was here, I promised to share my beast. I do hope that this is a suitable reward for services rendered.”
Haurchefant laughs, delighted. “You did indeed offer and I would be lying to say I’m not intrigued.” He gets up and tips Estinien’s chin up, running his thumb along the dragoon’s lips, pushing inside. He is rewarded with Estinien sucking at his thumb, his tongue playing along its tip. “Hmm… I dare say this will be sufficient. But let me test him while we talk.”
Aymeric has a lot to thank Haurchefant for. Estinien is the reward.

Seeing the scowl on Estinien's face grow harsher, he holds up a hand. "I mean no offense, I find your craft honorable."
Estinien's laugh is sudden and harsh, "you know I'm here to take you out, right? What honor is there in killing a man that so obviously wants to die?"
It was just another job for Estinien Varlineau. As a member of the Order of the Knights Dragoon, a monster and undead culling organization, it's his job to rid the world of darkness. So, why is he letting a vampire travel with him?
