Zoro groans softly, pressing a hand to her temple. “Do you ever stop asking stupid questions?”
Luffy doesn’t miss a beat. “Nope!” she chirps, popping the p with the kind of unabashed cheer that grates against Zoro’s frayed nerves. “But seriously. They’re just stuck up there, burning all the time. Doesn’t it get boring?”
“They’re not alive, Luffy,” Zoro replies flatly. “They’re just...fire or gas or something. They don’t care.”
“That’s sad,” Luffy says, her grin slipping into something smaller, softer. She stretches her arms wide as if to embrace the whole sky. “If I were a star, I’d want to do something fun. Like fall. Just once.”

Astarion sat with a casual air, one leg dangling off the edge, while the other was bent towards his torso. With a slightly hunched back, his head leaned forward, his eyes at the sun—unblinking and intent. The colors of the sky emphasized the little details of his face, and his crimson eyes sparkled but no emotion sparked within.
You stood by quietly, unsure of announcing your presence or leaving him be. He appeared to desire peace to himself, and after nothing but battle after battle, and a final one just up ahead, you couldn’t blame him.
However, he does eventually acknowledge you, and when he did, he brought up a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
“Why, hello, my dear,” Astarion greeted, “apologies for wandering off, I wanted to sit here and watch the sunset. It being my final time, you know.”
