"Anyways, do you remember those little star and smiley face stickers we’d get on our tests back in elementary school?”
The prince blinked, nodding along without truly following the thought process. Sometimes, conversations with Prompto felt more like some kind of verbal obstacle course than anything the council threw at him. The constant topic hopping and back tracking was still endearing, even if it meant he had no idea what they were talking about occasionally.
Prompto didn’t seem to mind Noct’s lack of real acknowledgment, pressing on. “I loved those as a kid, Dude, I swear Mr. Haylock used to give me one for every answer I got right and I had such a school boy crush on him because of it, oh my god.”
Noct froze, staring at the blond. Prompto was laughing, rattling on about how he used to try and keep the stickers and would try extra hard in science just to get more of them, but Noctis was stuck.
