The sky is full of fire when Todoroki Shoto draws his last breath.
The next breath rattles in his lungs like those maracas Kaminari had shown him in the common room all those months ago. Shoto thinks he tries to laugh, but it comes out wheezing and wet and so full of an inescapable, intense grief that wracks him in shudders to his bones.
The fire rises higher.
