sonic struggles with what is real, and what now. Who his fiends are, what their names are, and what will be dissolved within an instant into the cold embrace of the now too familiar shatterspace he spend god knows how long in. No one seems to notice when he stares just a moment too long, signing it off as sonic being sonic, yet shadow does.
Shadow, who carried his limp body back to the reality he had been actively fading from, the one he had readily sacrificed himself to recreate.
