He turned his flustered lover, imploring him to look at him even as Cloud was clearly too embarrassed. Sephiroth nuzzled against Cloud’s cheek, nipped at his ear, then said, “I shall take you apart and ruin you for any other man in this world or the next.”

There is an increase in worrying incidents of Soldiers getting maimed grievously or killed outright during active duty. The number is just too high to be casual accidents. After one of the generals themselves is put in a coma during such a mission, it become apparent that someone is targeting Soldier as a whole. It just happens to be the company they work for.
