In the universe where the Clone Wars happens years later, where Luke was not raised as jedi but when the war broke out he joined the military as a commander to fight alongside his father, where Maul, Ventress and their adopted daughter Merrin are leading the Separatists, the mission to rescue the kidnapped Palpatine during the Separatists attack on Coruscant takes place on the aboard of Death Star. While Ahsoka is attending the space battle outside, ready to destroy the battle station before it obliterates the heart of the Republic, Anakin, Luke and Obi-Wan are going to rescue the Chancellor and confront the Sith. With Anakin and Obi-Wan knocked out, Ventress defeated and put of sighr and disarmed Maul kneeling at his feet with two lightsaber blade cross ed at the Sith's neck, Luke then has to face the dilema of following the order of the person who is their supreme military leader and who Luke himself sees as his grandfather, an order to kill the unarmed, injured enemy he just defeated. A person who caused much harm to the galaxy, who personaly harmed and mutilated his father, cutting of Anakin's hand on Geonosis when the war broke out. A person who also has a family, an adopted child who has to care for him.
