Nico tensed at the mention of his nightmares; the Tartarus fueled visions of punishment and pain that so often plagued his nights.
“A lot of demigods get nightmares.” Nico reminded him.
Clovis looked at the raven with knowing eyes as he answered. “Not like yours Nico.”
The raven flinched before looking away as the son of Hypnos continued.
“The Seven may get most of the credit Nico, but you suffered to protect us. You sacrificed so much to make sure that demigods like myself and my siblings can sleep; so that we can rest knowing we have warriors like you to watch over us.”
Clovis caught Nico’s hand and pressed the necklace into his palm.
“We only have sleep to offer Nico; only dreams to give. So in our realm you shouldn’t have to keep fighting; you shouldn’t have to be afraid.”
AKA: The Solangelo Dreamscape AU Where when a gift from the god of sleep is given to the only son of Hades it seems like Nico's nightmares will finally end.
But the ending of too sweet a dream can be its own kind of nightmare.

Summary
Steve could only scream a second before the figure launched itself down on top of him, flying right over the railing. It landed harshly, legs on either side of Steve’s hips and feet planted on the floor. Steve squeezed his eyes shut, feeling hot breath pant across his face, drool leaking from its mouth and coating Steve’s chin. Clawed hands were above him, crowding the jock from going anywhere, and digging into the leather. Long tangled hair hung down between them, tickling Steve’s face.
The creature wasn’t moving though. In fact, it slowly started rising just to sit on Steve’s waist, which Steve found confusing. The being wasn’t heavy either, lighter than the demodog that he and Dustin shoved in Joyce’s refrigerator.
Steve couldn’t just lay there. He knew the thing was probably just toying with him. So he took a chance. Fumbled his hand around on the ground before making purchase with the bat.
“Steve?”

“I’m going to kill you. But no worries, it won’t be permanent. You’ll wake up soon enough and find yourself twinning with yours truly.” He flourished a hand around his face. He must’ve read Steve’s horrified expression, for he responded, “Relax, Harrington. You were going to die soon anyway, and the same shit would’ve happened. I’m just here to… speed up the process. This way you can make yourself useful.”
“Useful to who? Vecna?” Steve spat.
“There you go,” Eddie cooed patronizingly. “I knew you had a couple brain cells to rub together.”
“Over my dead fucking body.”
“That’s kinda the point, big boy.”

Months after their failed battle against Vecna, life has marched on. Steve has taken a bartending job at O'Malley's Bar and is working the graveyard shift when he gets an unexpected visitor.
