Summary
Living on your own after creating the home of your cottage-core dreams was a true accomplishment, but can get lonely at times. When things go south at home- you go north. Did you mean to go to the Milkyway Galaxy? Much less towards the one planet others in the universe will roll up their windows and lock their doors as they drive past? Not exactly. But who knew Earth had so many weird ways of doing things? But... It is fun to learn how different, yet similar people are- even if they are worlds apart from each other.

Tommy was handed a small flyer in printed in black and white, with the words “POETRY NIGHT - OPEN MIC” splayed across the front in bubbled font. He fumbled with his binder as he took it, eyes wide as he said, “are you sure? I mean, I love poetry and all, but I don’t think-I’m not sure—what if I can’t write poetry?”
Mr. Sam’s dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. Tommy, it’s not about if you can or cannot write poetry, it’s about if you want to.”

You’re just trying to get by with a demanding job where you get zero respect from your boss and co-workers when bitties are introduced into your life. You found some of them abandoned by cruel humans. They were deemed broken and useless and were left outside to dust. Others you rescued from abusive humans. You just couldn’t watch them be hurt anymore. You soon went from a lonely, isolated human who hardly ever spoke a word, to adopting and caring for your skeleton bitties who you never wanted to be separated from. You would do anything to keep them safe, warm and fed and they would do anything to protect you in return. The world was cruel to you and your bitties, but that wasn’t going to stop you from trying to make the best life for them
This is a story about you and your bitties meeting and then trying to survive in a harsh city landscape where everything seems to be out to get you and your skeleton companions. Can you really promise them a safe home where nothing will ever harm them again?
After all, who knows what might be around the corner...
