It was about a twenty minute walk before she caught sight of a building rising up between the trees, a sprawling cabin made of glass and wood. The rocky path seemed to lead right up to it, and Kat mentally face palmed. It was a drive-way. Briefly her nerves faltered, her steps hesitant as they crunched across the loose stones. What if whoever lived here was worse than what could happen in the woods? What if they were murderers or weird cultists… this cabin was so large there couldn’t have been any way only one person lived there.
