Summary
Today wasn’t ever going to be a happy day, not for Etho.
However, Etho thought he would at least have some excitement for the event. After all, being royalty but being a younger sibling didn’t mean much for him other than political chess and a loveless marriage for good trades and relations for neighboring kingdoms. But maybe he would’ve gotten to know his partner, maybe he would be friends with them.
A take-over by barbarians however, was never really on his radar.
Etho and Ren get married. Neither of them are thrilled about it.

Before the assault on the Collector base, Tali approaches Thane.

“Of course,” he says, unable to resist the urge to smile. He is fond of Tali; she is earnest in a way that he can appreciate. A bright spot of genuinity in the vast galaxy that is far too cruel far too often.
To his surprise, the very next words out of Tali’s mouth are, “I want you to sleep with me!”
He doesn’t immediately react; finds he isn’t really able to, because he’s seen a lot of shocking things in his time, but this is still somehow unexpected. He’s only able to stare at her, mouth slightly agape, blinking as he tries to wrap his brain around exactly what she’s said.
Tali leans closer, feeling the need to clarify, “I don’t want to die a virgin, Thane.”
