“Kanroji-san,” Tanjirou gently pulls away from the hug. “Who’s that?”
She looks excited, and waves Obanai closer. He shuffles only a few more inches forward. “That’s Iguro-san! I met him a while ago, and we decided to pair up. Listen to this; he’s like Nezuko!”
Tanjirou still hasn’t looked away from him. “Like Nezuko?”
“Yes! He doesn’t eat humans, and eats demons instead- which, your sister doesn’t do, but still, isn’t it so amazing?”
She’s clutching at her face, blushed and animated, but Tanjirou frowns.
“What are you talking about, Kanroji-san? This man- he smells like he’s eaten mountains of innocent people.”
Everything seems to stop. This was it. This was Obanai’s dead end, where everything is uncovered. He knew he couldn’t keep up the facade, he knew he was doing such a stupid thing by working with Mitsuri, stupid, so stupid.
(In which Obanai is an infamous demon, lying to Mitsuri in order to save his head- but it seems like he's bitten off more than he can chew, because he keeps on lying, until eventually, he begins lying to himself, too.)

Neuvillette exhales, sinking against Wriothesley’s body. “The power outages have grown more frequent.” Neuvillette drapes his arms over Wriothesley’s shoulders. He draws one leg up, gliding his thigh along Wriothesley’s leg. “It is a pressing concern, Wriothesley.”
With a low laugh, Wriothesley eases between Neuvillette’s legs, and Neuvillette groans softly. “Not so pressing that it can’t wait until tomorrow for more thought.”
Wriothesley has a theory about the strange power outages Fontaine keeps suffering, and Neuvillette doesn't like it.
