Peter Parker was 16 years old. He lived with his Aunt May, just the two of them. For fun, he built legos with Ned, talked to MJ, and conducted experiments.
He liked to think of himself as an amateur scientist and/or inventor. (He was a genius, but too humble to admit it.)
Mr. Delmar's Deli made the best sandwiches in Queens. At least, that's what Peter would say, if you asked him.
Peter was bullied. He was small and weak, which made him an easy target. Yeah, he was a bit of a nerd, but he wore the title with pride.
He was, in simplest terms, a kid.
He was also Spider-Man.

Nico groaned as he regained consciousness. His head shot up. “Will?!”
He began to get up, but was prevented by the fact that he was handcuffed to a metal table. He tried to calm himself down, assessing the situation. Why was it always him?

Nico only wanted to go on a date with his boyfriend. Was that too much to ask? Apparently, yes, it was. After they are taken in by S.H.I.E.L.D., Nico falls down a rabbit hole filled with old friends (Bucky?!), new experiences (Just when I thought my life couldn't get any weirder.), and a whole lot of other crap.
