Summary
Indigo wasn't quite sure who had enchanted her sleep earmuffs to try to… honestly, what did she even call this? Brainwashing implied overriding her desires, and this wasn't that. Training implied teaching her to do certain acts. This, as far as she could tell, was just installing long-term compulsions in her as though they were enchantments, to be triggered through the use of command words.
In loud whispers she could literally hear, and that she was sure wasn't her imagination. Not subtle. Still, Indigo honestly felt rather lonely and was interested in what they would actually do with all the commands they were installing, so she kept wearing them night after night anyway.
She didn't quite consider that speaking earmuffs could also speak commands, but she was having too much fun to complain or risk the enchantress stopping should Indigo break character.
