Summary
Michael’s eyes blinked open to a cloudless blue sky. It took him a moment to puzzle out why that was strange.
Something had jostled him a moment ago, though Michael struggled to recall what it was. He was on his back with some sort of blanket or towel under him, and he could hear someone nearby murmuring about having fallen asleep unexpectedly. It was only when Michael felt a tug on the blanket that he looked over.
“Michael? Hey, come on. We’re going to be late.”

Summary
Michael had always had an affinity for the rules. Perhaps it was the product of having watched the earliest sketch of creation come into being at his father’s elbow—he was the first to be born into his father’s universe, and watched order emerge from the void, lending structure to every particle his father made. Everything a part of His design, no matter how small. Even as his father created more, and the system became more complicated and unforgiving, Michael had clung to that early certainty in a way that Gabriel had more than once called lazy. Lucifer had styled it as willfully blind. Adam had had thoughts on Michael’s stalwart reverence for authority too. “Obsessed” had been his descriptor.
Michael wondered what word he’d use if he could see Michael tear a disruptive streak through time, so he could strike himself out of air mid-flight on the pivotal day they met.

Summary
“Do you know where you are?”
“I don’t know. California? Florida?” Adam could see palm trees manifested in the illusion outside, and brightly colored towels dotting a stretch of sand that reached out toward the ocean and a more distant blue horizon. “Get to the—”
“Beyond that,” Michael pressed, cutting Adam off. “I know things have seeped through. Where do you think we are, really?”
Michael’s tone was neutral, but there was a sensation subtly nestled in the back of Adam's head that made him think of fingers tapping on a countertop. Michael looked up when Adam noticed it.

Summary
It should be a surprise to absolutely no one that angels love gossip. After all, their family is exceedingly large, and so full of clicks that some siblings feel compelled to introduce themselves to angels outside their immediate circle, just in case their brother or sister might not know who they are without help.
And when Jack, in his innocence, pulled the entire angel family out of the Empty, arguing over Sam and Dean’s protests that everyone deserves a second chance, it should surprise no one that angel radio was flooded with the shameless whispering of nosy angels almost immediately.
Especially considering that the first thing a good many of the angels saw upon waking up, tangled together in heaps strewn across the floor of God’s throne room, was Michael’s former vessel carefully picking his way through the disgruntled masses.

Summary
“I missed you, ” Brienne says like she’s admitting something else, and Jaime wants to say it back to her in exactly the same way: loaded with all of the things they’re not saying. Let that truth settle between them, unsaid but at least somewhat spoken. That could be enough. To share that quiet understanding with Brienne, here, alone together in the middle of the woods, in the middle of a war, in which one of them will be on the losing side. That could be enough. I missed you too.
Brienne would understand.
What Jaime says instead is “Marry me.”

Summary
“It’s really just opportunistic sex," Jaime said, waving a hand. "Sometimes we’ll text and one of us comes over then we leave and we go about our day. That’s all.”
Tyrion snorted. “Wow, you’re just like a knight from the old stories with that one. 'Fair maid, wouldst thou like to be railed any time after 10pm? I’d do earlier, but I have appearances to keep.’”
Jaime shut the door on cackles of “But, ser, that’s my emotional support booty call!”
(or, the one where brienne and jaime are friends with benefits and there is no way he gets way too invested)
