“How did we not notice them?” She tore her gaze away from the display, scrutinising the dimly lit faces of the men gathered around. In their eyes, Arafa could find only grim confusion. There was no answer. Something else had happened. House Harkonnen was not acting alone, as if that was not already obvious from the boldness of this incursion.
The Keep shuddered beneath her. She faintly registered that her bare feet were getting cold, but pushed the sensation aside. Only minutes had passed since she had left her chambers. Those minutes had been enough. She could see quite clearly that, no matter what plan they would be able to piece together, the outcome was already determined.

Mike Wheeler isn't looking forward to his sophomore year of high school. Between the falling out he's had with his friends, the grief he's feeling over the death of someone close, and the fact that part of him thinks those things might just be his fault... he doesn't quite know how to cope with anything.
Oh, and there's the ghost that's following him. He's always dealing with ghosts.
Will Byers is nervous about his new home in Hawkins, Indiana. He knows his family made the right decision- moving houses is easier than dealing with his asshole of a father- but he's going to miss Lenora Hills, and after a lifetime of being the outcast everywhere he goes, he's not sure if he can trust this new place.
When he meets Mike, though, that changes. Everything changes. And together, the two of them will brave grief, the supernatural, and- perhaps most dangerous of all- the feelings for each other they find along the way.
