Summary
Angela is younger than him, but she is in charge of the Iron Lake police department, a mother and a widow, and even in his new life Dexter tends to buzz around the acrid smell of tragedy. Disguising as a person means finding common human experiences to connect with, and at fifty, all that Dexter has to bond over is tragedy. Most of which he could never share again with another soul.
Human relationships are all about blending in, and at first Angela is no exception to the rule, but something about her attracts Dexter and piques his interest long enough to want to see her again. And again. When the realization of the reason for his strange interest dawns on him, it’s entirely too late: it hits him and runs him over like a freight train. Dexter has a gift for shutting out the facts he doesn’t want to face, but some things are and will always be inevitable.

Summary
Starting from the end of S8 Ep11, this is basically just what I would have loved to see happen with the final episode. I'm going to try and keep the relevant parts as close to what actually happened as possible but some parts will definitely be changed.
