Summary
Neither of them knew what would be on the other side of Hydra’s portal, but Steve knew he couldn’t let Peggy go through the consequences of going through it alone.
On the other side, they found themselves in the future in another timeline. A timeline that had never seen Peggy Carter or Steve Rogers come to their full potential. Peggy had married Fred and lived until the age of 83, living the life of a housewife and raising three kids. Steve had died shortly after his mother’s death, succumbing to a broken heart.
Coming out on the other side of that portal was one ordeal, the universe decided they needed another when Steve collapsed under the stress of interdimensional travel. Before they can begin to find their footing in this new world, they need to find a way to save Steve.
Hydra couldn’t even be blamed as they were eradicated shortly after the war had ended by the Howling Commandos of this time and someone named the Winter Soldier.
