Laudna picks at her lips constantly. Sometimes she does it so much she gives herself tiny cuts and her lips become speckled with tiny droplets of black ichor. She catches them with the tip of her pale tongue, self-conscious, whenever Imogen looks at her. She smiles apologetically, doesn’t realise her teeth are smeared black.
