“Honor is meaningless. Nothing comes from being a samurai but death.” Since that day, Taigen had been haunted by Mizu’s final words to him. How ironic was it that Mizu was the one to die, dying a death that society now regarded as “honorable.” While Taigen, the ever loyal samurai, lived. It was not supposed to be this way.

Mizu’s hands gripped onto her dress tightly, wringing the fabric to try to calm her nerves. She absentmindedly traced the contours of the dagger she had strapped to her thigh. Although the objective was seduction, she felt much more comfortable having a weapon with her in case she needed to revert to her usual tactics.
___Taizu at a ball! After months in London without a lead to Skeffington and Routely, Mizu, Taigen, and Fowler go to a nobleman’s ball to get information about the hidden men’s whereabouts.
