We have…” he trails off, and for the first time Wooyoung sees a trace of the smile he’d so admired in his profile picture. It’s sweet and soft and a little bashful before he ducks his head to hide it. “We have a sort of competition between us, when it comes to giving gifts.”
Wooyoung gapes at him. “You give each other… people… as gifts?” The ultra rich truly are another breed.

Summary

They chat lightly for a little while more before Maddox gets around to his real reason for calling; he wants to see if Joong is still doing okay, and to be updated on what he terms the ‘Seonghwa Situation’. “I’ll be honest, dude, when you didn’t call me begging me to break you out of there by day three, I started thinking maybe you’d tossed yourself in the lake.” He pauses. “Or that maybe Hwa tossed you in and you just… sort of let him, like a lovelorn assclown.”
“That’s a good album name,” Hongjoong replies dryly. “You should write that down.”
“Avoidance,” Maddox notes, “and attitude. You’re down bad. You’re not fucking him again, are you?”
Hongjoong winces guiltily. “No.”
“But you’re gonna.” It’s not a question.
