He’s gotten stoned in Shitty’s, and Lardo’s, crashed on Jack’s floor after a kegster, gone to Bitty’s for advice, and checked Ransom and Holster’s for ghosts. If it were anyone else’s, Nursey would at least have some indicator of what was going on, because he’d be able to recognise the decorations, the layout.

Will would agree that the sun is a good way to describe Derek, because in every single moment, Will sees him.(Will and Derek find and lose one another. Ten years later, they find each other again.)

Summary
Derek is a regular guy, he likes Hockey, writing cliched poetry, and hating on the hot red-head who is on his team at Samwell University. He doesn't know what Dex's problem is, their dislike of one another was cemented almost immediately, but unless it affects their work on the ice, Derek doesn't what he is supposed to do about it. It feels like they're a thousand miles apart at all times, and while Derek knows that he is the one pulling ahead, more popular on the team, more interesting to talk to, more friends, better looking, and more chill in general... It always feels as though he's the one attempting to catch up.
