Ritsu heaves awake, tangled up with iron in his lungs. Shigeo’s hand is on his arm and blood and darkness and—
“Get away from me!”
Ritsu shoves him in the chest. A gust of psychic energy swipes across the room, throwing books and pencils. The curtains flare around the windows. There’s a nauseating sound as Shigeo hits the wall.
Ritsu chokes.
When history threatens a collision course, Ritsu and Shigeo break cycles together.

Summary
They didn't exactly have a great start. But that's what first drafts are for. And second drafts ... well, that's when you have to acknowledge your shortcomings and, perhaps, allow yourself to see things in a new light.

Day 1 (5/12): Mob
Mob made a (probably) not-too-insignificant choice. But if poetic symbolism had taught her anything, then Emi had to consider whether he made the right one or not.
Day 2 (5/13): Growth/Emotion
Now that locking his emotions within his psyche was no longer the default, Mob had to get reacquainted with them. And most introductions involve names.
Day 3 (5/14): Friendship/School
When you hold my wounded hand, I get the urge to never let you go. (Your cat can scratch me anytime she wants.)

Reigen lightly shook Shigeo's shoulder. "Ah, but you sure showed him, right? You're stronger than that. An evil spirit like him is no match for-"
"But he was!" Shigeo frantically interrupted. His master didn't know, he couldn’t have.
Shigeo’s first instinct had always been to pull inside himself, never lashing out unless pushed past his limits. He was the kid who stepped around ants on the sidewalk, put bees into cups and released them outside.
Shigeo was never one to put his foot down.
