Summary
Rook, Emmrich & Lucanis (and Spite), navigate what it means to be together whilst also trying to save the world. But Rook's dabbling in the Void to save Emmrich may have awoken something else, something that will either help her or damn her further in her fight. Rook has to dig deep to recover parts of herself locked away if she's going to overcome the fake gods of her people, and along the way she discovers there's a lot more to herself than she thought she knew.
Or, a rewritten (probably wildly lore inaccurate) game fic of an elf and her two human boyfriends trying to save each other and the world. Follows on from my first fic Crystal Desires.

The call of Death is unchanged. It seeps into their realm with a loving caress. It holds Rook’s eyes wide open, stealing away the glint of moonlight that has been there since the moment they met. It cuts the strings holding her and Emmrich can do nothing but witness her drop to her knees.
Emmrich does not understand it. It is swift and cruel, the hand that fate dealt them. He cannot reach her. He cannot grant her a moment of peace as Death cradles her in its arms.
She falls and the battle continues.
[Or: Rook dies in Dock Town saving Emmrich's life. And then she doesn't.]
