Unfurling the small note, Geralt read, icy tendrils of dread sliding down his spine. “I need a portal.”
Yen cocked a brow. “A portal where? Why?”
He held out the note for Yen to take, even as Lambert, Vesemir and Eskel crowded in close at her shoulders to read. Spinning on his heel, he headed for the keep. “I’ll go grab some things and saddle Roach.”
He could feel the others staring at his back, their gazes almost physical but he didn’t care. They would understand once they read the small scrap of paper.

Summary
In which Kakashi nearly dies (again), Sakura is exhausted, and Tsunade decides that both nin need a vacation of sorts. Of course, ‘vacation’ directly translates to ‘diplomatic mission’, and Sakura and Kakashi soon find themselves facing missing nin, angry innkeepers, and way too much sexual tension as they make their way to Mist. KakaSaku. Contains sexual themes and language.
(Or, alternatively: Kakashi gets caught not wearing pants, Sakura is not at all happy about having to leave the hospital, and Ao and Kakashi enter an unofficial contest to see who can be more intimidating. Sakura and Mei are not amused.)

When both you and your soulmate turn 18, a mark will appear on your skin. It's designed to lead you to them. You meet, you kiss, you fall in love, ect.
That's a fairy tale that Kakashi doesn't have the patience to believe in. He doesn't have a mark, and he's not going to get one any time soon. He doesn't care, really. He's a blank and that's all there is to it. It's not the end of the world. He doesn't need some cosmic tattoo to be happy.
Sakura knows her soulmate is out there, just waiting for her to find them. She can feel it. True love is right around the corner. More specifically, her 18th is just around the corner. All the rookie nine are in the village for it, even Sasuke. Sasuke, who is still 17. Sakura must be the only person in the world who doesn't want their mark to show up..
