At first, the white dot in the sky was too far up to see - too lost in the vast expanse of darkness for anyone to make out. But slowly that white dot fell lower and lower, until the snowflake became recognizable and landed on the pavement below.
The snowflake became a small, insignificant wet dot for a fraction of a second. Until it dried up and became nothing at all. As if it’d never been there.
With his brother sick, Gerard can’t focus on anything else besides taking care of him and the medical bills - never mind love. Even when Frank comes along and reminds him of just how lonely he is…

It had been that way before he saw Grant for the first time as an intern at DC Comics, clutching a stack of papers, trying not to spill his rapidly cooling coffee as the majestic Morrison swept down the hall, a deviant dream in head-to-toe black latex.
