Summary
The prompt: David Rose has always believed in fairy tales. So it’s no wonder then that he’s spent his career crafting them on the long-running reality dating show Ever After. When the show casts disgraced tech wunderkind Patrick Brewer as its star.
Patrick doesn’t believe in true love, and only agreed to the show as a last-ditch effort to rehabilitate his image. But they begin to open up to each other, and Patrick realizes he has better chemistry with David than with any of his female co-stars. But even reality TV has a script, and in order to find to happily ever after, they’ll have to reconsider whose love story gets told.
From the book blurb for The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochran, which just has a wonderful David and Patrick vibe to it.

Summary
Patrick follows David to his room closely and wordlessly, a very guilty shadow, and sits on the end of Alexis’s bed and tells him about Rachel and watches him with those sincere brown eyes that could make David do almost anything. David stands with his back to the bathroom door, arms crossed protectively around his body and feet planted firmly, but he still has this sensation in his stomach like he’s falling, the telltale hypnic jerk he sometimes gets lying in bed at night, but constant—an unrelenting, nauseating swoop deep in his diaphragm.
There are two Patricks now—the one whose ass David has eaten and the one who grew up holding Rachel’s hand.
After the barbecue, David takes the week to try to understand the people he and Patrick have become thanks to their relationships—old and new.

Summary
David was a reckless art thief who stumbled onto a dead body and mysterious object in a back alley one night. Unexpectedly, he stumbled into something much more unnerving.
“Is this your idea of foreplay?”
Patrick’s lips twitched. “We can skip it if it’s not to your liking.”
”I don’t know.” He said, just to see what would happen.
There was no anger or violence on Patrick’s face. He spoke softly. “Kiss me, then.”
Somehow that made him shivered. “Is that a command?” -
