Summary
Vaggie thought she was over the worst of Heaven's old teachings, cast aside memories of cold, pearly pillars and perfectly polished cities in favour of the filthy, sinful honesty that was Hell. Found her comfort in what was supposed to be eternal damnation.
The truth was that Hell contrasts Heaven so much it felt like a soothing blanket over her worst memories, making it almost too easy for Vaggie to believe she really was over her whole 'fall', her past is firmly in the past. She doesn't expect the Devil himself to be such a visceral reminder of the holy home she'd left behind, until old memories and pains long repressed are starting to resurface- all at the unwitting habits of one fallen angel and King of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar.
(in which Lucifer is far too much a fallen angel, that vaggie is forced to confront the harsh truth of how much residual hurt from heaven she has yet to heal from)

Summary
Every parent's greatest fear was their child dying before them, yet it was the reality of the world Sally had brought Percy into. The life of a demigod, the curse of a hero. Nights spent in fear of which battle might be Percy's last, days spent soaking up every moment they had with their kid- losing themselves to the hope it could last forever.
But now they'll never have to confront that fear again. So when Percy comes to them in floods of tears, grips so tight and mourns for the end of his mortality, Sally and Paul cry too. But they aren't tears of grief.
The five times Sally and Paul feared for Percy's life, and the one time they knew they've never have to worry again.

Summary
There was a part of Percy that had always felt like an outsider at Camp Half-Blood.
It's never felt worse than since returning from Tartarus. When one bad dream or errant cough might be enough to flood the shores of Camp.Percy knows he's spiralling, struggling to reign in his own powers- but there's nobody else who he can talk to about it. He'd taking to hiding from prying eyes, desperate to handle it alone- because that's what he was in navigating these powers, alone.
Until someone dares seek him out in the eye of one of his storms. Percy expects anything from the goddess from cold dismissal to open mockery for how out of control his powers were.
Anything, but for Kymopoleia to compliment the storm, and offer to show him how it's done. -

Summary
The first time he hears 'your Sigyn', Goro hates himself for the way he immediately knows who Loki is talking about, lashing out with furious denial before he can can allow the implications of such a title to fully wash over him. It's easier this way, Goro tells himself.
He should have known better than to deny a manifestation of his own soul, but refusal comes easier- it always has, and it's not until there's a bullet in his side and a bulkhead barrier between himself and Ren, that Goro finally allows himself to accept the truth Loki had so clearly laid out before him months ago.
Then, really, it's impossible not to recognise the every parallel between themselves and the Norse deities that came before them.

Summary
The Crows long to extend their affections to Kaz too, to be able to reach out as freely to him as they do one another, let touch say what words can't always. They would try to ignore the pang of hurt as Kaz coiled away from outstretched palms, because he wasn't ready for that yet, and they'd never rush him.
That doesn't mean they wouldn't do everything they could to support him in the meantime, however. That they woudn't be there for Kaz in whatever capacity he'd permit.Or, Kaz receives the gift of a weighted blanket, and regains a small part of himself once thought to be long lost at Reaper's Barge.
