Summary
Brady tried to deke one way and then the other but Matt had been playing every sport under the sun with his brother for their whole lives. He cut Brady off on his way to the end zone and tackled him to the ground.
“Gotcha Brades.”
“You are going to pay for this later Matty. Just you wait till I get you alone.”
Matt’s face lit up pink and he smiled down at him. “Looking forward to it.”
Just as Matt was about to get up off his brother, they heard someone approach behind them. They assumed it was Grant or another one of their cousins.
“Hello boys, long time no see.” Matt peered up into the sun at the figure before them.
It was their father, Keith.

Matty: What do you mean?
“Hey, Matt, can you come here for a second?” Matt looked up from his phone with a confused look on his face. He got up from the love seat and walked towards the bigger couch where Brady was sitting. Brady pulled him down onto his lap and Matt stumbled onto him.
“What the hell are you doing Brades?” Matt hissed into his ear. Dylan and Ryan had both looked up from their devices with curious looks on their faces.
Dylan spoke up “Is Matt small again?”
“Nope, Matt is perfectly big” Brady said and then he put his hand on the back of Matt’s neck, leaned towards him and kissed him on the mouth.

“Something you said the other day, about bringing Matt in public, that it was too risky.”
“Well yea, obviously. Could you imagine?”
“Actually, yeah I can. That’s what I’ve been thinking about.”
“Oh really, what did you have in mind?”
“Bringing the boys to D-I-S-N-E-Y.” Ryan spelled it out in an attempt to keep it a secret from the littles so they wouldn’t get too excited if it wasn’t a possibility. Matt was drinking fruit punch from his sippy cup and spit it out across the table.
“DISNEY! DADA DISNEY! PRINCESSES!”
Brady glared across the table at Ryan.
Dylan’s attention was officially held as well. “Rwyan, Disney?” He tugged on Ryan’s sleeve and looked up at him with his big doe eyes.
“Oops.”
“Yea, oops. Christ, Ryan.”
“Sorry.”

“Listen, I think Barkov is a tremendous player, I think that the rumors that I’m hearing about them potentially getting rid of him and moving him and bringing in somebody else. Like have you guys heard any rumblings?”
“I heard a few rumors when I was down in Florida.”
“Imagine a Brady Tkachuk for Barkov.”
“Okay so we’re the rumor boys, everybody knows that. We throw a few out there, propositions. But this is what I’m hearing. Is a potential Brady, Matthew reunion. And then Barkov’s the guy out. Where are you guys reading that?”
“I’m hearing that in the bowels of the arena.”
“Are you hearing it from some fucking rando at the Elbo Room in the corner on the way to the bathroom or are you like, who are you hearing it from Murls?”
“I’m on suite level hearing these things Biz.”

Summary
He stepped into the bath and sat down. Brady kneeled on the bathroom floor, grabbed a wash rag and dipped it into the water and ran it over Matt’s body. Matt closed his eyes and let the warmth and feel of Brady’s hands soothe him.
He’s not sure if it’s the pain meds, or the perfectly relaxed state his body is in, but the next thing out of Matt’s mouth shocks both brothers.
“You don’t have to marry her, you know.”
Brady immediately drops the wash rag into the water, the noise from the splash ringing around the tiled room. It takes a few seconds for Matt to realize what he just said but then his eyes snap open and he tries to backtrack. “Brady, wait, I didn’t mean that, fuck I don’t know why I said it.”
“Matt, what the fuck? No really, what the actual fuck?”

Jakob grunted, shaking his head in protest, forcing his eyes to return to the spot between his legs. He didn’t want to watch his torture, but when he finally spotted the tools Dr. Hess was going to use, he suddenly couldn’t tear his eyes away.
The sleek metal rods were otherwise featureless, glimmering in the harsh lighting of the medical room. Each one was roughly six to seven inches long with a slight bend at one end. They started out slimmer than a pencil, but as Dr. Hess picked up each one to turn it over and examine it, Jakob could see that they quickly grew bigger, until they were thicker than a finger.
And then bigger.
