Charlie immediately cursed himself and stepped back from the stairs, his hand being drawn up unconsciously to cover his mouth. What was he, a horror movie protagonist? Not even the protagonist, that was the kind of thing someone did before they died in the opening scene, before the title screen had even played. Charlie Slimecicle's life gets invaded by his own characters, and some of them aren't as friendly as the rest. Now he needs to find a way to get them back where they came from, and a particular smiling ball of goo might have something to do with that.
But his friends can help, right? Well, maybe they could if he wasn't so insistent on handling it all himself...

You can probably see my art changing over time and I think I figured out how to draw it a little better by the end (please dear god ignore all the side profiles i had to draw though. Also hands and cars and general scenery. Why did I put in so many things I can't draw lmao)
But DESPITE THAT I'm proud that I finished this and I like how it looks! Enjoy :)

It was normal for Marc to wake up in the body. It was also kind of normal for him to be waking up somewhere completely unfamiliar. Honestly, that might've been more common than waking up somewhere he knew. A jail cell was a new one, though.
"Steven," because of course his first instinct was to consult Steven, "what the hell did we do this time?"
Aka Marc and Steven wake up in a prison. They do not know how they got there. Oh no.
Characters and lore are not gonna be 100% consistent with canon! Some of them got hit with the silly-little-guy-inator whoopsies (this fic is literally just for funsies and silly so don't go crazy when it's not exactly how they would act in canon lol)
Pretty Marc centric but I love Steven too these guys are so silly

Charlie tried to back away from himself, from the visor lighting up over his eyes, obviously being unsuccessful in doing so, and couldn't tear his head open fast enough to stop them from changing his mind, his thoughts and perceptions, all gone before he could realise what they were doing to him.
"...huh. This is a weird room."
