The way he strains against it, wears it slowly thin, loops the red rope of Imanotsurugi’s ownership over the top, corded with silver like the spun moonlight of his hair. Aaa, there it is again, that never ending ache. A good one, this time, the bite of souls joined together, the rightness of it all.
