Summary
“Eddie,” He says again, pulling back to look at Eddie’s eyes, trying to see if he’s there, if he’s doing this for real. “You’re–”
Concussed. Bleeding. Scaring me.
“Buck,” Eddie begs, fingernails digging into Buck’s shoulders, eyes wide and imploring. “Thought I wasn’t going to make it. Thought I was going to die before I got to, please–”
Eddie doesn’t ask. He never asks. He’s asking now.
OR

Summary
In Buck’s mind, it was logical to discern that aliens were not real when presented with evidence, but clearly, Special Agent Eddie Diaz was avoiding the logic, although by now Buck should have instilled some common sense into him. “There is no evidence to suggest that there is life on any other planet outside of Earth.”
“Whatever you say, Buck” Eddie smiles at an officer on the other side of the police tape, “Special Agent Eddie Diaz,” He flashes his badge. “and this is Dr. Evan Buckley from the Jeffersonian.”
