The Harkonnen's plan bore fruit three years later, when, after celebrations for Paul Atreides's coming of age, the heir to the storied and honorable House was kidnapped and brought to Giedi Prime, whereupon the na-baron declared him his husband and mate.

Summary
Jack and Maddie Fenton have tried and failed to exorcise the powerful spirit inhabiting the body of their son. To make matters worse, he doesn't even believe he's possessed, and no amount of evidence can persuade him to accept reality. So, they do what any good parent would- they do their best to keep him safe and comfortable while they continue their search for a cure.
If that means keeping him locked down under 24-hour surveillance in an ecto-containment unit while they do that, then... well, it doesn't feel great, but he's their baby boy. And what else can they do?
Until they maybe, kind of, -accidentally- end up in maximum security prison for crimes against metahumanity, and then someone else has to take care of their son without them.
The good news is that the Justice League has a specialist.
The bad news is that Danny can't be cured.
