    That day at the apartment, the moment everything went wrong. That was when they got themselves out of trying it again. How many did they hurt? None of them died, but what happened to others? They couldn't tell.

    Powder could not shake the feeling of guilt about of her. If only her didn't try meddling with things, no one would have gotten hurt. How could she look at Ekko's eyes and tell she risked his friends' lives? That she hurt so many?

    Ekko felt ashamed. He told them about it. If only he hadn't opened his mouth, that tragedy would not have happened. How could he talk to Powder again? After risking her and her siblings lives? That, he could not do.

    And their relationship became strained, distant, until there was barely none. Up to the moment they met again.

    OR

    AU where Ekko and Powder met again after joining the Academy, many years since the incident, in a different Zaun and Piltover, changed by other things that happened during their time apart.
