Summary
Itachi is faced with an impossible decision: kill his entire clan and become a spy in the Akatsuki, and Sasuke gets to live, or let the coup happen and watch another war unfold, with everyone he loves getting killed. But there is a third way, no less brutal yet one where he gets to be there for Sasuke as his brother.
A canon divergence fix-it where both Obito and Madara really died, aliens are just a myth, and Itachi and Sasuke are as wrapped up in each other as always, except this time they get to stay together. At least, until Sasuke uncovers what really happened that horrible night.
