Summary
Her van breaking down from her new powers isn't what Daisy planned. Even less did she plan for Robbie Reyes, a man whose gaze holding her own brings a recognition that only part of her recognizes. Ghost Rider likes her, for reasons It doesn't understand. And her vacation from Shield to hide her powers has brought an even bigger change to her life. Quakerider

Daisy was heading to the office to get someone to look at her car when something strange happened. There was no visual or audible cue, nothing unusual to trigger it, but her head snapped around behind to her left, where a car had the hood up. And she saw the man working on it having a similar automatic swivel as she did. Looking into those dark eyes, Daisy felt something. Recognition. Of what, she didn’t know, which meant it wasn’t really anything she recognized. But some part of her did.
The man looked just as startled and confused. And he was frowning, looking increasingly angry. He must not like being stared at. But he was staring right back at her.

I had thought my life was over when I realized I had changed. Fitz upsetting me had me exploding electronics. And when my hands were bleeding from trying to hide the mess, Fitz swooped in with altered test results and an explanation. He saved me. When I was having trouble accepting myself, he accepted me. And I thought he was attractive before...

“You’ll never stop amazing me, will you?” I asked. When his arms went around me, I got that feeling again, like I belonged somewhere. I could definitely get addicted to it.
“What’s so amazing?” he asked.
This time, I laid my head on his shoulder facing away from him. “You’re protecting me. You already have a theory. You’re giving me hope that maybe I’m not going to be uncontrollable. Some people might think you’re soft because you’re a scientist, but from where I stand, you’re a rock.”
And, with that delightful accent making it better, Fitz said, “I’m not a rock. I really am quite squishy. I mean, if you compare the density of any part of the human body to any almost type of stone-” I burst out laughing. It was so Fitz.

Wednesday isn't just a girl. Back at Nevermore, Xavier is once again pursuing her, this time with limited success. Patient and understanding, he proves to be just what she needs to break her shell open more than Enid already has. But her secret means she can't let anyone close to see how different she is. Can Xavier accept and love her when he finds out she's more than just a girl?

Damn him. Being respectful of what she was comfortable with. Speaking of, how was she supposed to tell him what she was comfortable with? And…when did it matter? She was supposed to push him away, not define boundaries that would allow him closer. But, as Enid said, this was something that could (and probably would) push him away. So she might as well.
"I don’t want anything physical." There. It was said.
She didn’t like how the length between that message and the response made her feel uneasy. It shouldn’t matter. She should be hoping for rejection.
When the reply came, her chest felt light. "Does that mean you want something romantic?"
Wednesday was glad Enid had left her alone on the balcony. Her face felt warm and her lips were twitching, and no one was supposed to do this to her.

Summary
Visiting Enid over the break is great, but it has a rocky start. The trust and loyalty Enid has won from Wednesday shows when eating dinner with her family, leading to a confrontation that reveals the dynamics of a pack. Befriending a Seer and dating a gorgon aren't life choices Enid's mother approves of. But Wednesday will stand up for and with Enid, no matter what.
-
“Enid is the best,” Wednesday said firmly. “I’m pretty sure that most werewolves don’t spend their first wolf out saving their best friend from an enormous serial-killing monster with huge claws and a fondness for ripping people into pieces.”
“What?” Enid’s dad said, alarm on his face.
“My god!” Enid’s mother said.
Wednesday looked at Enid. “I thought you said you told them.”
“I told them I wolfed out,” Enid said, but she looked bashful at Wednesday’s exposing the truth. “It wasn’t that big a deal.”
No, Wednesday was not letting her humble her way out of this. She looked at Enid’s mother and said, “He’d killed and dismembered six people at that point, not to mention putting our friend in the ICU. He was about to start tearing me up when Enid came out of nowhere and attacked him. She saved my life.”

Sequel to Stave Off the Storm. Vanya begins her integration into the Umbrella Academy and dealing with her powers. Without Five, she would be lost, but adjusting to life with him is tricky as well. He's fifty-eight and thirteen, which is both inconvenient for him and confusing for her. But now that the Hargreeves are a real family, the new and improved Umbrella Academy can handle anything. Which is good, because the storm hasn't passed yet.

To them he was an annoying jerk who thought (knew) he was smarter than everybody else. He showed them up in training and argued with Dad the way they wish they had the guts to do. They were jealous. To her, he was her closest companion. Someone who encouraged her to play, someone who was there for her and kept her from being alone. Someone who made her feel safe and special, when almost all of the rest of them made sure she felt insecure and ordinary.

Summary
Shinomiya Kojirou, the Fire Magician, has been a lone wolf for as long as he can remember. Fire is unforgiving, and as it drips from his fingertips, it alienates more and more of his peers. But if solitude is the price of saving Sumiredoori from a monster invasion, it’s a price he is more than willing to pay. He does it not only to protect this town, but to watch those growling, hairy monsters meet their end in fire and anguish and brimstone. After eliminating monsters from the face of the earth, he vanishes into the shadows and continues on with his life of solitude.
But, one day, Yukihira Souma, an aspiring superhero who idolises Shinomiya to the point of following him around and calling him ‘master’, happens to catch a fight in which he’s unable to neutralise the situation so easily. Shinomiya won’t be able to defeat the monster alone. Only thing is, he’s a little too stubborn to admit that he needs Souma’s help.
