Summary
At an overnight stop in the saloon of a nowhere town, wanted outlaw Vash the Stampede runs into an old friend in need of help. His friend, Marta, left the safety of Ship Three over a decade ago and has since moved to her wife's hometown and started a family. However, the town has a secret. It sits atop a large freshwater aquifer, one of only a few in No Man's Land, and a group of water barons in a nearby city have set their sights on it. With a group of hired guns harassing the town and legal options running out, the threat grows every day that violence will be brought down on this town like a boot on a throat.
Nicholas D. Wolfwood knows Vash will run headlong into the brewing fight, and he also knows he'll follow Vash into it. He knows Vash will trust Nicholas to guard his back. Like Nicholas is someone worth trusting. He'll follow Vash anywhere, even to his end.

Summary
A client arrives covered in mud and leaves with a tale of a vanished sister, a cult in the mountain forest, and a strange, pale thing chasing her. The case is simple- exorcise whatever haunts the woods, nothing they haven't done before. However, with a missing woman and a cult in the mix, things are not so straightforward. The forest is thick and isolated, with plenty of places for a spirit, or a cult, to hide.
To exorcise the beast, Serizawa and Reigen will need to venture deep into the pines.

“Okay, Nicholas,” Vash purrs—the sound makes his knees feel weak, suddenly. “Here’s how this is going to work.” He presses that second water bottle he’d grabbed earlier into Wolfwood’s hands as he speaks.
“You can have my phone number,” he says, unscrewing the cap as Nicholas holds the bottle, “if you do as you’re told. Alright?”
Wolfwood nods silently, eagerly, and Vash pats him on the cheek with a sweet smile.
“Good boy. Now, drink.”

Nicholas fails to read the room. Vash uses his miscalculation to his advantage and makes Nick drink some damn water.
