Summary
In the hell of a game where blood mingles with regret, Gi-hun and Young-il’s paths cross, a fleeting touch, a shattering collision. And between the thrill of revelation and the obsession of possession, love is already destroying them.
Or: Gi-hun is not as naive as he seems and sees far more in In-ho than the latter would have wished, far more than In-ho had anticipated.

Summary
“May I?” Young-il gestures with the corner of his damp jacket, and Gi-hun flushes.
“You don’t have to do this,” He mutters. “I can do it myself. I’m a grown man.”
“You can,” Young-il agrees, “But I’d like to, if you’ll allow me.” He looks frighteningly serious, and Gi-hun tells himself that he only nods to avoid making the situation weirder than it already is. Not normal, his conscience screams. Gi-hun ignores it.

or: gi-hun does not come back from the first game with normal wants or desires or urges. in-ho makes everything worse, as per usual.

Summary
The deal In-ho makes with Gi-hun is simple: continue playing the games together. Pretend to have never seen the face that lies under the Front Man's mask, pretend that Young-il is still the man he has befriended, and maybe — just maybe — the guards won't massacre every single player left.

Summary
“Do you have questions?” Young-il asks, which is rather kind of him, considering it all. So many things were kind of him. Gi-hun stares at the speckles of blood near his lips and imagines him digging flat molars into tender flesh.
“No.” His voice is already hoarse. When they torture him, he won’t even have the change to plead.
Gi-huns little insurrection doesn’t go over particularly well. As always, it’s the house that wins.
