Summary
Camilo Moreno had been taught two things by his mother since long before they took up their residency in the Encanto.
His mother was the only one that loved him, and he was not to draw attention by any means.
So when he suddenly, by a collision of events, catches the attention of a certain magical family, it seems as if everything he was taught was unraveling before his eyes.

“ Still, there was a deep corner of his mind, shaded and distorted and awful, that told him she was right. It told him that he really did try to see bad things, and he really was bad for the family, and all he’d ever do was hurt his family. He was hurting Mama, and Julieta, and Pepa and he should leave before he did anything worse. He really was just bad luck Bruno, el bru-He squeezed his eyes shut and threw his hands over his ears.”

“She swallowed, listening to the buzz of her phone over the rain.
The phone rang, and rang, and rang.
It rang again, and suddenly hot shame pooled in her stomach, climbing up to create the begining of an awful headache. Her face heated up, flush against the wet droplets.
This wouldn’t work. He wouldn’t pick up.”

After things explode, Mirabel finds herself with no where to go, until the finds a note tucked away in her shared room. -

Summary
Do you remember a few months ago, when we had that talk about you and Mariano?” the voice that cut in was too soft for powerful, explosive Isabela, wavering in anxiousness. “You were worried it would be weird about you and him being together because we were courting?” She continued.
A breath passed between them both in anticipation.
“It’s just, we talked about how I’d never really been, uh, attracted to him.” She continued, as nice a phrase as any. “But, the thing is, I’ve never really been attracted to anyone before, I wasn’t sure I ever would.” .
The grip on her hands loosened, then returned there strong grip in indecisiveness. Dolores was quiet, but her grip on her Prima-hermana’s hands remained strong. Soon, the words tumbled out of Isa’s mouth.
“Lola, I- I have feelings for someone.”

Summary
“A sacrifice,” she whispers, more to herself than to the Spirit. It nods anyway, its blank, flaming face staring up at her, unrelenting. Mirabel nods and straightens up, bringing the Spirit to eye level. “You can take me.”
“I have already taken one,” the Spirit replies. “I cannot take another, for no sacrifice can be the same. Your Abuelo gave his life, your Abuela, her happiness. ¿Que vas a dar?”
or
In which Mirabel follows in her Abuelo’s footsteps and makes a sacrifice.

Summary
Bruno Exposito is barely managing to make a living as a traveling salesman, someone with no family, no home, and no future. And he knows he would be even worse off than that if anyone learns that sometimes he sees glimpses of the future. When he finds a town and a family that features in his few positive visions, he can't help but want to stay there for as long as he is able to. But with a family matriarch who really distrusts him and his visions happening more than ever, that might be easier said than done.
When a stranger somehow finds his way into the magical sanctuary of the Encanto, Alma Madrigal knows this is another sign that the magic is fading, leaving her family at the mercy of the dangers of the outside world, the world that has already taken her husband and her baby son. She knows her family's only hope is for him to leave without learning about the Miracle. But with a family that can't seem to remember that he's a danger and a Casita that doesn't want him to leave, that might be easier said than done.

Summary
The Encanto are a group of superpowered individuals who protect New York. Beneath the masks, however, they're a normal Colombian-American family - The Madrigals - living in Brooklyn.
Well, they're normal to the extent that Alma Madrigal will let them be. She's pushed each and every one of her family members to give back to the community both in and out of costume so much that the Madrigals, a family of renowned scientists, athletes, doctors, and artists are just as big of a household name as their masked counterparts. They truly have become something the late Pedro Madrigal would be proud of.
There was a...brief hiccup. Mirabel Madrigal, fifteen-year-old, never got a superpower. Even then, she never found her niche the way the rest of her family had. She was stuck with average grades, no powers, and no knowledge of her family's secret identities.
And it would stay that way. until one day, an itsy bitsy spider climbed up the Madrigal--
and bit all the way down.
