Summary
Jaskier finds himself back with Radovid against his will- while he still has strong feelings for him, he finds it hard to trust him again. What's even worse is that the guilt and pain has turned Radovid into a completely different person. A person who's desperate to keep the only good thing in his life, which is Jaskier, himself. Jaskier doesn't want to change his mind about putting his family first, so Radovid needs to find a way to make sure he will be the only one for the bard.
What follows is Radovid's even deeper descend into madness, and Jaskier's forced transformation into the perfect, pliant lover who won't need anybody else.

When Jaskier suddenly reveals to Geralt that he wants to have a child, Geralt - being unable to give him what he needs - falls into a pit of self-loathing. That only worsens when Jaskier does fall pregnant, just not from him.
Radovid doesn't want to play second fiddle to Geralt, nor does he want to be nothing more than a stand-in for a child that Jaskier probably wants to raise with someone else.
Jaskier doesn't want to give up on his dream, and he doesn't want to pick between the two men he loves.

Miles quickly undid the buttons of her maroon coat and set it aside. Then she pulled her dress over her head, turned it right side out, and put it on a chair near her bed. Nothing could stop her need for order, not even her irregular heartbeat and trembling fingers.
Now left in her underwear, garters, and thigh high stockings she laid down on her soft bed. Her mind still swimming with images of Phoenix from the trial today. She had not seen the defense attorney in a year and it really showed now behind closed doors just how much she had missed her.

Jaskier is taken by Radovid in the midst of his travels with Geralt and Milva. The Redanian king, changed from his recent ascent to power, is determined to get everything he wants, with Jaskier having the misfortune of being on top of the list. Jaskier spends time trapped in the Redanian court, drowning in despair and losing parts of himself in the process, his only consolation being the knowledge that his friend was safe from the Redanian army due to his sacrifice.
Sometime after Geralt has united the north under his rule, he decides to pay a visit to Redania in the hope of reuniting with his bard. But Jaskier is not as he remembers, his psyche having been fractured in their time apart. Will the witcher be able to help him escape his tragic fate?Title is from the song Poison from Hazbin Hotel

After the trials, when Vesemir seemed so affected by his eyes, Geralt would widen them and look up at his tutor, pleading.Vesemir sighed and gave him the same speech he always gave.
"Geralt. You are not training to be a knight. Put that out of your mind. You are a professional. A working man. Further, you are a mutant now. You will not be greeted with gratitude. You will be lucky to be greeted with the cash that you are promised."
And yet?
He still learned how to dance, despite having given up the dream. It started with Jaskier of course, like most misadventures and novel undertakings.

When Jaskier arrives in a town famous for their food festivals and finds Geralt stuffing his face, he isn't shy to question why the Witcher has such an impressive appetite suddenly. Geralt explains that a lik'ichiri has been feeding off the towns people, plucking the fattest one it can find and eating them. In order to save the town, Geralt is determined to make himself bait for the monster, but his Witcher metabolism just won't cut it.
Jaskier steps up to the task after a little help from Yennefer who makes it so his body will gain more weight more quickly. He and Geralt have a week to help him gain 200 pounds so he could be the perfect bait for the lik'ichiri. The thing is, Jaskier didn't expect to enjoy it as much as he does. He didn't expect Geralt to either.
